We got to go to to Winterlude this weekend and have some fun outside on the giant ice slides.  The snow sculptures were awesome too.  The kids had fun and got to spend some time with their cousins.  Too bad the water bottle leaked all over the mitts and hats I had in a bag for the kids.  Auntie Brenda rescued us with her extras.  Nice to have a sister that's prepared :)

Ev the Composer

Ev is in a music program called Music for Young Children.  He really loves it.  Part of the program is composing your own song.  Our teacher told us about a neat site, called,  where you can enter your composition in online and have it play, or print out.  We can also share it - so here it is - hopefully you can hear it:

Princess Jenna

Our very own curly haired princess. We tried out the curly hair with her new tiara for the Brownie Princess Tea Party. I think she could wear this for dance as well. Too bad it takes so long :)

Winter Feis

We went to the O'Donnell winter feis this past weekend and had a great time.  The stage schedule were a little wacky so there was a lot of shoe changing but other than that a great day.
Jenna got a hoped for 1st in a novice dance so only 2 more dances left to move up into open / prizewinner.  She got 2nd in Treble Jig -  again!  So close :)  In spite of a really good wipe out (is there such a thing) she still placed in her PZ reel  - I was so proud of her.  She handled herself like a pro and just calmly got up and kept dancing.  She really has the right mind set for competitive dance.  Some days are "your day" and others just aren't.  Reminds me of the saying "SWSWOWN - some will, some won't, Oh well, next!"
The competition was tougher here in Toronto - but good!  Nice to see all the other girls in her age group.  The girls have all improved so much over the last few months.  Great when they work really hard but just think they are having fun :)  It seemed like all the girls from her dance school that went to the feis had a really good weekend.
Jenna got a new tiara / crown to wear that looks so much nicer than the pink headband.  She was pleased.  I liked it becasue I could actually figure out how to get it to stay in her hair!

Looking forward to the school feis in March.  The kids are busy practicing a "show" number.  IT is to the same music as a number that Jenna watched and loved from last years show so she is quite pleased.  Can't wait to see it.
