Yay - it's Christmas

Well the big guy in the red suit was very good to us this year. Jenna was more than pleased to see a tent AND her own phone (a Princess phone) - just what she had asked for. She wasn't complaining about the chocolate and other goodies either.
We had all of the presents - except Evan's - open before Evan even woke up.
Jenna made sure that she opened his for him as well too :)
Christmas day has been very low key. We spoke to Grandma and Grnadpa Hilborn, Holly and Great Grandad on the web cam and wished them all Merry Christmas. An extra Congrats to Holly - nice ring!

Christmas Eve

Grandma and Grandpa Jamieson came over for Pizza(very festive don't you think) tonight and we exchanged gifts.
Jenna was very excited to get markers and a Lite Brite! She has almost gone through all of teh Lite Brite templates of course but it was definitely a hit.
Evan got some real clothes - tha fit! Yay!!
Jenna put out a plate of cookies and red juice for Santa. She is pretty excited to see what he brings her - as long as she doesn't have to see him.

The "Jamieson" Kids

Ok - I love them all dearly but this just wasn't a great picture day. From left to right: Jenna, Evan, Ashlea and Teagan. Believe it or not this was the BEST photo. It is really hard to get 4 young kids to sit and smile all at the same time.
However, having said that, this is a great snapshot of life right now. It doesn't get much better than that!

Christmas 2005!

Well it's that time of year again. Yes, the time where I say "once again I am too late to send out cards". I think I have now accepted that I am not a person who sends cards - but I am still thinking of everyone :)

This year has been an eventful one. Now if I can only remember why :) Pregnancy brain is still with me!

Last year at this time was in the middle of morning sickness yuckiness and Pat was trying to deal with a head injury - we think! Still don't know though. Now when we look back it seems so long ago already.

Jenna has grown up so much the past year. From little girl to big sister extraordinaire all in 12 months! Last year she wasn't really into the idea that some man in a red suit would be in her house on Christmas and got pretty upset about the whole idea. This year she is OK with Santa bringing presents as long as she doesn't have to see or talk to him. She has come a long way though - she did wave to him at the mall.
She also potty trained herself in one day. She went upstairs with Pat to get her diaper changed and came back down wearing underwear and has never looked back. I still want to know what he said because I would have said it months earlier if I had known it would get those results!
Our little princess (that's how she likes to dress up) was very excited to turn 3 and is looking forward to being 3 and 1/2 on New Years. Those half years count for a lot when you are this young.

The summer was REALLY hot so we did finally break down and buy central air. Evan came 3 weeks early and was born at home on August 6th . I went in to labour the next morning after announcing that I was "so done" with this pregnancy. Not bad! It was a really nice home birth.
Our little 6 lb 12 oz bundle of joy is now close to 20 lbs. He weighs more at 4 months than Jenna did at 12 months. He also cut his first 2 teeth. It doesn't seem fair to have teeth at 4 months - he's been pretty sad. Overall, Evan is such a calm, happy baby. We have really been blessed with two amazing kids.

Pat is currently taking the parental leave offered at his work. It is really nice to have him home and I think he is enjoying bonding with Evan in a way that just wasn't possible with Jenna. We always seem to have so much to do it is hard to believe that he found time to go to work before. The current project is painting the main floor. We haven't killed each other yet and things seem to be shaping up nicely. Who knows - it may even be done before Christmas.
Pat is back to playing soccer but missed out on hockey this year so he is a little disappointed. There is always next year though.

Cheryl (that's me) bought a business, Tickled Pink Designs, last year and has really had fun with it. I make Nursing Necklaces for breastfeeding moms. Recently I have started to make other "mothers" jewelery as well. It has been so interesting to learn about making different types of necklaces bracelets and earrings. I think adding this stuff will be a real boost to the business. Sales have tripled and are still increasing. We are almost at a point where it is a viable second income for us and we are hoping that it will allow me to stay home with the kids. So if you know of anybody that is a Mom looking for jewelery send them my way :)

For those of you who don't already know - we do try to keep semi up-to-date with photos on our blog. Check it out from time to time for updates on our family.

Wishing you and yours all the best in the coming New Year.

Love,
Cheryl, Pat, Jenna and Evan

Merry Christmas Everyone!

First Teeth!

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth! Lucky boy - he got them!!
Wow! We wondered why Evan was fussy these days. However, I really wasn't expecting to find two teeth when I let him chew on my finger - ow! Poor little guy. Four months old is a little young to have to go through getting teeth I think :)
Now can we talk about drool - I am hoping Santa brigs some more bibs because we can't keep up these days. Jenna was never like this as a baby - I could never figure out why people put bibs on their children...until now!

Which one is Which?

Evan has a standing playdate with Zoey who is 10 weeks younger. She is starting to catch up in size though. This wasn't planned but they were wearing matching outfits - too cute!

Ashlea is Four!

We went to Ashlea's 4th birthday party. It's a little crazy becasue I stil remember going to see her at the hospital when she was just a few hours old.
This picture is Jenna and Ashlea under the covers. They were dressed in their party clothes but decided to make it a PJ party instead.
